About Design
PryMate was born from Sebastian Irawan’s desire to have a reliable tool (other than a knife) that is friendly enough for anyone to carry. PryMate, looks cool and tactical, has many functions often used in daily activities. As the name suggests, the word PryMate is formed by combining two words, Pry and Mate, and the word PryMate itself is homophonous with the word primate, which we all know that primates have high agility, strength, and intelligence. Therefore, Sebastian Irawan merged all of them into this design, hoping this tool can become your best mate to accompany you in your daily activities.
About Designer
Sebastian Irawan, an interior designer from Indonesia, is someone with an artistic soul.
Starting with her bonsai hobby and collecting various kinds of bonsai equipment, her heart was captivated by folding knives. Slowly, without realizing it, her hobbies, obsessions, and passions all shifted to the world of knives and EDC tools. Then she manifests it all into designing knives and tools with her style.
She always try to liven up each design she create based on the concept and name she choose and embody it into the right shape without abandoning the "form follows function" principle she learned from interior design.
Because aesthetics and function are both important components that must be present to create a good design.
She hope that her design style has explored areas that have not been explored by her fellow knife designers and can be the answer or choice that her fellow knife users need.
